Ibraheem Adeola KATIBI, is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, University of Ilorin with about three decades of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
He has served as Head of Department; Chairman, Institutional review board for research & ethics; and Dean of the faculty. His areas of research interest cover cardiology, electro-cardiology and application of AI to cardiovascular diagnosis.
He has to his credit over a hundred publications in peer-reviewed outlets covering journals, editted conference proceedings and chapters in books. He has successfully supervised over 20 Fellowship dissertations. He has equally won a number of research grants with which he has pioneered the establishment of the first and largest electronic database of normal electrocardiogram in any indigenous African population worldwide. Professor Katibi is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, European Society of Cardiology, West African College of Physicians and Nigerian Cardiac Society.
