John Kola Olarinoye is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, University of Ilorin with over 24 years of teaching experience, research and administration.

His focus areas of research and teaching include general medicine, endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. He has over 40 publications in reputable journals and has attended scientific conferences both locally and internationally where he has made a number of presentations.

He has supervised over 10 Part 2 Dissertations of both the National and West African Postgraduate Colleges. He is currently an examiner at the Part 1 and Part 2 levels of WACP.

He is a member of many professional and social organizations.
