Prof Ademola Fawibe attended Ife-Oluwa Primary and Atakumosa High School in Osu my hometown. After graduating from university, I had postgraduate medical training in internal medicine with a specialization in respiratory medicine and obtained a fellowship from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in November 2005. I joined the Medicine Department, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin in 2008 as a lecturer 1 and ascended the ranks to become a professor in 2020. I am also a senior honorary pulmonologist at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. I was elected a fellow of the prestigious American College of Chest Physicians in 2010. I am also a member of the American Thoracic Society and European Respiratory Society. My research interests are pulmonary function tests, Asthma, COPD, Tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS.
